Hands – wash your hands a lot

Face – wear a covering over your nose and mouth when you are with other people

Space – keep your distance from people you do not normally live with  tick

No. Your GP surgery (doctor) will let you know when it is your turn to have the vaccine (jab)

  • Telephone
  • Text message or
  • Letter

You will be told when and where to go for your vaccine (jab) tick

 

  Are there any side-effects after having the vaccine?

After having the vaccination (jab) you might have some mild side-effects, for example:

· a sore arm where the needle went in
· feeling tired
· a headache
· feeling achy

You can take painkillers, such as paracetamol if you need to

  Can I have the vaccine if I have allergies?

Do not have the vaccine if you have ever had a serious allergic reaction to:

  • medicines
  • vaccines or 
  • food
Nurse Tell the staff before they give you the vaccination (jab)
Staff If you do have a reaction to the vaccine, staff will be there to look after you and make you better
 

 If I’ve had Coronavirus (Covid-19), do I need to have the vaccine?

Coronavirus Yes - we don’t know if you will be able to catch Coronavirus (Covid-19) again, so best to get the vaccine

Don’t get your vaccine until after you have finished self-isolating

  Will I be given a choice about receiving the vaccine?

  Can I get my COVID-19 vaccine around the same time or on the same day as I have my flu vaccine?

Ideally, you should not have your flu jab and your Coronavirus (Covid-19) jab at the same time

It is best to wait at least 7 days after your flu jab
