Surgeries and pharmacies will be open on Friday, 8 May but opening times will vary so residents are advised to check individual practice and pharmacy websites and social media pages for specific arrangements.

A local cancer expert has today welcomed calls for patients to seek help for cancer symptoms after new research revealed that nearly half of the public has concerns about coming forward due to the coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.

Dr Linda Hunter, Cancer lead for the Norfolk and Waveney Health and Care Partnership (STP), said: “It’s understandable that people might be worried about leaving their home during the pandemic or think the NHS is too busy, but you should still contact your doctor if you’re worried about signs and symptoms or notice a change that isn't normal for you.
